Konig wheels and rims

75 products

Konig's been at this for forty years, and most of what it sells now is aimed at a Type R or a GTI at an autocross. The Hypergram is what changed that. It's flow formed, it's genuinely light for the money, and it comes in widths that let you run a proper track tire on a hatchback without spending forged money.

About Konig wheels and rims

The rest of the line runs off the same idea at different prices. Want a ten spoke in the small diameters? That's the Dekagram. Driving a sedan instead? The Ampliform mesh goes big enough. Oversteer is the cast budget line, and there's a small forged program built to order if you're spending real money.

Konig publishes its own fit check guides for the Civic and the GR86, and it builds the Hypergram in offsets meant to clear a Type R's front Brembo. We still read the caliper on every set. The smaller diameters don't clear the bigger brake options, and that's an easy thing to get wrong off a photo.

Common questions

Do Konig Hypergrams clear Brembo brakes on a Civic Type R
The 18 inch sizes clear the front caliper, and Konig publishes a fit check for it. The 17 inch sizes get tight. The small diameters don't clear at all, so don't let a good price talk you into one. Pick your Type R up top and you'll only see what misses your brakes and your fenders.
Is the Konig Hypergram flow formed
Yes, and so is the rest of the gram family. The center's cast and the barrel gets heated and rolled, which takes weight out of the rim where you feel it most. Konig's cast line is cheaper and heavier. The forged wheels are a separate program, built to order, and priced accordingly.
Which Konig wheel fits a GR86 or BRZ
The Hypergram is what most people run, and it clears the stock brakes at stock height. Want a ten spoke face instead? Take the Dekagram. Both come in 5x100, which is what those cars use. Neither one's a stretch to fit, which is more than you can say for a lot of this catalog.
