This is where a build shows itself. Lips, splitters, skirts, spoilers, diffusers, flares and flaps all sit one level down and this page is the door to them. Check the trim on the listing before you order, because a lip cut for a sport bumper won't sit on a base one even when the two look identical from the curb.

They don't all do the same job. A lip changes how low the nose looks and it's the first thing you'll scrape. A wing makes downforce at speed while a trunk spoiler is mostly a look. Flares are the only piece on this page that moves wheel fitment, since they add coverage a wider wheel can hide under.

Material decides how long a part survives. ABS cracks when you clip a parking block, urethane bends and comes back, carbon splits. A lowered daily wants urethane and a show car wants carbon. The product page says what it's made from and whether it drills or clips, which is the gap between ten minutes and a lost Saturday.

What is the difference between a lip and a splitter

A lip follows the bottom edge of the bumper and it's a look. A splitter is a flat plate that runs out in front. It makes downforce by splitting the air going over the car from the air going under it. On the street the lip's the practical one, because it bends when you find a curb. A splitter wants support rods and a driveway that isn't steep.

Does a spoiler do anything on the street

At legal speeds, almost nothing past the look, and that's fine. A trunk spoiler tidies the air coming off the rear deck a little. A wing on stands is a different animal that makes real downforce at track pace and drags at every other speed. Buy the spoiler for how it looks and the wing for a track day.

Will a body kit change what wheels fit

Flares will, and nothing else on this page touches the arch. A flare pushes coverage out past the factory fender so a wider wheel with less offset can live under it. Once we've checked that flare on that car, saving it on your car opens the window on the wheel listings. Lips and skirts leave it alone.
