About Enkei wheels and rims

The light weight comes from MAT, Enkei's process that casts the center and then spins the rim under rollers to thin and strengthen it. The Racing series (RPF1, RS05RR, NT03RR, PF01) gets MAT. The Tuning series (TS-5, TS-10, T6S, Raijin) is a conventional casting with the same street sizes at a lower price. Both carry Enkei's Spec E test, which is stricter than the JWL standard the rest of the industry uses.

Enkei publishes wheel weights, which is rare, so the RPF1 page shows what each size actually weighs. Most Racing series sizes come in 5x100 and 5x114.3 with 4x100 for the smaller diameters, and the offsets are track offsets, so we check the fender and the brake caliper on every set before it goes out.

Is the Enkei RPF1 forged

No, the RPF1 is cast with a MAT flow formed rim, not forged. MAT stands for Most Advanced Technology and it spins and rolls the barrel after casting, which gives the rim section a forged grain and takes 10 to 15 percent off the weight of a plain casting. The wheel is light because of the rim process and the thin six spoke design, not because the whole wheel is forged.

Will a 17x9 +35 Enkei RPF1 fit a Civic Si

It is the size most tenth gen Si owners run, and it clears the stock brakes. Set your car above and the page checks it against your exact year, trim and brake option, with the fender clearance at stock height. A 17x9 +35 on a 255 tire is a real width for the car, so pick your suspension state in the check if the car is lowered.

What is the difference between Enkei Racing and Enkei Tuning wheels

Racing series wheels (RPF1, RS05RR, NT03RR, PF01, GTC01RR) get the MAT rim process and are built for track use, with weights published per size. Tuning series wheels (TS-5, TS-10, T6S, Raijin, Kojin) are conventional castings for street cars and cost less. Both pass Enkei's Spec E impact and fatigue test.
