An all season covers your whole year in most of the country. You give up some peak grip on a warm day and you don't think about the forecast again, which for a daily is usually the better deal.

- You give up peak grip. A summer tire out corners and out brakes it on a warm dry road, though an ultra high performance all season closes most of that gap and keeps the cold weather grip.
