Is the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S a summer tire
Yes, and it means it. Don't drive it below about 40 degrees, where the compound stiffens up and the grip falls off a cliff, and don't expect anything from it in snow. If your car sees a real winter, take the All Season 4 or run a second set of wheels with something proper on them.
Pilot Sport 4S or Pilot Sport All Season 4 for a daily driver
Take the All Season 4 if the car sees cold months or you only want one set of tires. It gives up some dry and wet grip and hands you usable traction below freezing and in light snow. The 4S is the one if it's a summer car or you already run a winter set. Both come in run flat.
Does the Pilot Sport 4S come in a run flat
Yes, and so does the All Season 4, mostly in the fitments for cars that shipped without a spare. Run flats ride stiffer and cost more, and there's no way around either. If you've got a spare or you carry a plug kit, the standard 4S is the better tire to live with.
