How do I clean polished wheels?

Uncoated polished aluminum starts oxidizing as soon as it sits, so it wants metal polish every few weeks and a sealant in between. A clear coated polished wheel trades a little depth of shine for a wash and go routine.

How often do polished wheels need polishing?

Uncoated, every few weeks if the car sees rain, and after every wash in winter. Clear coated ones only need soap and water, but they can't be polished again once the coat is on.

Can I clear coat polished wheels?

Yes, a refinisher can clear coat a polished set. You keep the shine without the upkeep, and you give up a little of the mirror depth.
