KW suspension parts

KW is the German coilover, built in Fichtenberg, and the reason to pay for one is the inox stainless damper body. It doesn't rust through a salted winter the way painted steel does. Past that, the three kits are the same idea at three levels of adjustment.

About KW suspension parts

Buy the V1 and KW sets the damping for your car. Buy the V2 and you can adjust rebound, so you can firm it up or calm it down. Buy the V3 and you get compression as well, which is what you want if you'll actually sit down and tune it. Clubsport is the track kit above that.

Got factory adaptive damping and don't want to lose it? Ask about the DDC kits, which plug into it, or the H.A.S. kit, which is a height adjustable perch on your stock dampers. Every kit ships with a TUV approval, which is part of why KW ends up under so many BMWs.

Common questions

What is the difference between KW V1, V2 and V3
Adjustment, and nothing else fundamental. All three share the stainless body and threaded height adjustment. The V1's damping is fixed and tuned by KW for your car. The V2 lets you adjust rebound. The V3 adds compression as well. If you're not going to tune it, don't pay for the V3.
Are KW coilovers worth the price over BC Racing
It depends on where the car lives. That stainless body doesn't corrode, so if you park through salted winters or you're keeping the car a long time, it pays for itself. You also get compression and rebound separately on the V3, which a BR won't give you. Summer car on a budget? The BR is a fair answer.
Does KW make coilovers for a car with electronic dampers
Yes, that's what the DDC kits are for. They connect to your factory adaptive damping, so the dash buttons still do something after the install. Going to a regular V3 instead? It ships with a cancellation kit so you're not living with a warning light on the dash.
