Injen Technology performance parts

Injen is what's on a tenth gen Civic Si or a WRX more often than not, and the SP series is the one people search. The tube is sized and stepped so your mass airflow sensor still reads right without a tune. Injen calls that MR Technology, and it's why the kit carries a CARB exemption on most cars.

About Injen Technology performance parts

Want a sealed box instead of an open filter? That's the Evolution series, and it's the newer line. Cold air routing won't fit, or you just want to hear it? The short ram kits put the filter in the bay and keep the install simple. Injen builds in Pomona, California.

Injen publishes a dyno number for most kits on the stock calibration, so you know what you're getting before you open the box. Registered in California? Then check the CARB exemption before you buy, because that number is what gets you through a test.

Common questions

Does an Injen SP intake need a tune
No, not on most cars. The SP uses MR Technology, which sizes the tube so your mass airflow sensor reads the same as stock and the car doesn't throw a lean code on the way home. That's also why it carries a CARB exemption on most fitments. A tune adds more on a turbo car, but the kit works without one.
What is the difference between Injen SP and Evolution intakes
The housing. The SP is an open cold air intake with a tube routed toward the fender or bumper and a filter at the end. The Evolution is sealed, with a molded housing that replaces your factory airbox and keeps engine heat off the filter. Evolution is the newer line and it's what's on the WRX and the newer Civics.
