Continental tires

30 products

Want summer grip without hearing the tread the whole way home? That's the ExtremeContact Sport 02. Autocross regulars have been getting away with it as a street tire for years. If your car sees rain and a few cold months instead, the DWS06 Plus is the all season cousin and it's what ends up on a daily 3 Series.

About Continental tires

SportContact is the European side of the catalog, and you'll find it as original fitment under a lot of German performance trims. The newer one costs more than the Sport 02 and rides a little differently. Swapping a set on in November? Ask about Viking Contact, which is the studless winter tire.

Worried about picking the wrong size? Don't be. Save your car and you'll only see what suits the wheel width you run. The rolling diameter stays near stock, so your speedometer stays honest and the fender gap looks like it did this morning.

Common questions

ExtremeContact Sport 02 or DWS06 Plus for a daily driver
Take the DWS06 Plus if the car sits outside in the cold. It's an all season tire with real dry grip and it still works when the pavement's freezing. The Sport 02 goes hard and greasy once things drop toward 40 degrees. If your car does both jobs, two sets on two sets of wheels is the honest answer.
Is the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 good on a wet track
Yes, wet grip is what it's known for in its class. It gives up a little dry grip to the stickier autocross tires, and you get that back in tread life and in how it behaves in standing water. It's the one to pick if your car sees a few track days a year and then drives home.
